Use the installed app offline
Audio Editor is an installable progressive web app. Use your browser’s install option or Add to Home Screen. Once the app has loaded online, local editing, effects, recording, and export keep working without a connection, including the recording processor, which is cached when the app installs, and the tempo and pitch engine once it has been used online.
Cloud files and transcription still need a connection. If the Puter menu component cannot load, the editor’s own menu bar takes over with the same commands. Save a project copy before clearing browser caches or site data.
Get updates automatically
New versions install in the background the next time you open the app online. The editor reloads to the new version only when it is idle: never in the middle of a recording, import, export, or transcription. Your autosaved project is restored after the reload.
Edit on touch devices
The waveform supports touch selection, dragging, and trimming, including iOS Safari, and effect dialogs keep their actions visible on small screens. A larger screen makes fine edits easier, and large decoded files can exceed mobile memory. Direct-to-disk recording depends on a save-file picker that most mobile browsers lack, so memory recording with its 20-minute limit applies there.
Set System, Light, or Dark
Use the Appearance picker below the selection toolbar to choose System, Light, or Dark. System follows the operating system and switches live when it changes. The documentation pages and the landing page follow the same choice, which is remembered in this browser.
